NRC IRAP claim support

Your IRAP project tracked in QuickBooks Online from day one, so every claim is easy to support.

NRC IRAP funding

Books that make every IRAP claim easy to support

For small businesses and startups across Canada with an NRC IRAP contribution, including IRAP AI Assist and Youth Employment funding.

IRAP claims are mostly salaries and contractors, so they live or die on two things: time records that match payroll, and invoices that clearly describe the project work. That is bookkeeping discipline, and it is what we do every month.

What we do:

  • Read your contribution agreement and set the project up in QuickBooks Online with its own project code and cost categories
  • Each month, code eligible salary and contractor costs to the project as they are paid, with proof of payment attached
  • Keep time records tied to payroll, and flag anything outside the project dates or budget lines before it reaches a claim
  • Prepare the claim schedule and supporting documents for you to submit, and keep everything ready if IRAP reviews the file
  • Catch up the books first if the project started before the bookkeeping did

You submit claims to IRAP and work with your Industrial Technology Advisor; we prepare the numbers and the evidence. SR&ED is a tax credit and stays with your tax advisor. Our government reporting experience covers federal funders such as WAGE, IRCC and Global Affairs Canada: budgets, eligible-cost rules, controls and close-out.

Grant claim support is added to any monthly plan from $400 a month per active grant, or from $1,200 per claim. Not sure where your books stand? Start with a Books Health Check.
